Stuffed Pork Chops

Have an amazing classic culinary feast this weekend with these vintage 1950s stuffed pork chops. Created with love and passion, these pork chops delivers an amazing fusion of meat, bread crumbs and seasoning.

Serves 6 | Prep. time 10 minutes | Cooking time 60–70 minutes


¼ cup butter or margarine, melted

6 thick pork chops

2 cups soft breadcrumbs

¼ teaspoon salt

2 tablespoons minced onion

¼ teaspoon poultry seasoning, sage or thyme Dash pepper

½ cup water


Slit the pork chops lengthwise to make space for the filling.

Combine the breadcrumbs, butter, onion, seasoning, salt and pepper in a mixing bowl.

Stuff the pork chops with the mixture and seal them with toothpicks.

Add the pork chops to a medium saucepan or skillet and brown them evenly over medium heat.

Season with salt and pepper.

Add water, stir, cover and simmer for 1 hour. Remove the toothpicks.

Serve the pork chops warm with some sautéed bananas (optional) and gravy (optional) (prepare the gravy by combining combining the pan drippings with some water and flour).
