Raisin Biscuits


  • 200 g raisins, cut in half
  • 350 g flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon baking soda
  • 50 g ground almonds
  • 100 g granulated sugar
  • 200 g butter, cut into small
  • 75-100 ml of liquid milk


  • 2 egg yolks + 2 tablespoons of liquid milk, beaten

How to make

  1. Mix the flour, baking powder and baking soda, stirring with a whisk, add the ground almonds, sugar and butter, stirring with a mixer until dough pastry fine grained. Pour the milk gradually, stirring until blended and dough together. Weigh and for the dough into four equal parts. Roll dough ½ cm thick, sprinkle the surface of two sheets of dough with raisins until blended, then cover with another sheet on top. Roll back up to ½ cm thick.
  2. Preheat oven to 160 C.
  3. Cut the dough according to taste, place in baking dish, spread the surface with beaten egg, bake until golden brown or ca 20 minutes, let cool on wire rack. store in an airtight container.
  4. Serve
